Block is a concept business created in partnership with a classmate. Focusing on a strong identity, we created this identity set and packaging for a homegrown butcher shop which prides itself as an integral part of its local community.

For this project, a teammate and I collaborated to create a logo, business identity set; including business cards, a letterhead, and a newsletter. We also produced a number of tees, aprons and other items that would be available at the point of purchase.

The entire ‘look’ was intended to be very grassroots; inspired by the butcher shops of old, but updated to suit a modern environment and client base.

Methods of making our mark to stand out include; stamps, embossing, stickers and screen printed items.

BLOCK

The final project for an advanced typography class, which had no creative restraints except for a two day deadline to create anything my heart desired.

I created the textile pattern in InDesign and printed it onto white cotton using an inkjet printer, then designed this bizarre, what has been described as being a

frog-alien-hybrid, created a tag, and sewed them together.

I used the CMYK color palette as a nod to graphic design but really expressed myself personally in the process of creating something unexpected.

Winsome was a concept artisan hard cider company based in Austin, Texas. The name Winsome is derived from Old-English and means to be sweet or charming - the logo is a raven wearing a halo which is representative of the juxtaposition of a hard cider being sweet.

An exercise in creating thumbnails and ultimately a collection of symbols from a single object, manipulated in a multitude of ways.

The images were then compiled into a hand-made book, tied together by a unifying color palette and limited to only five colors.

This was an exercise in writing a tagline and headlines to promote The Onion’s subscription service. A play on the newspaper’s satirical nature by stretching the truth about the benefits of subscribing to The Onion.

A series of headlines for Five-Hour Energy aimed at less active consumers. This is unlike their current campaigns. The tagline ‘Get up and go’ is paired with headlines that poke fun at the lazy decisions we’re all guilty of making at some point in our lives.

A concept advertising campaign developed for a company that provides tours for swimming with sharks, based on the idea that sharks actually cause less deaths per year than many other things people interact with. It encourages people to be less fearful of sharks and to take one of these adventures.
